Mets fans jealous of our elation
...and they should be. They're about to find out how bad an everyday player can be.

There is a met poster on there that laughs at the notion that a Braves fan exists 100 miles away from Georgia. If that doesn’t tell you how desperate and delusional they are, I don’t know what does. Imagine being a fan of the biggest a Mets fan with nothing to look forward to as a franchise on the verge of shambles? Depleted farm system, roster full of overpaid underachievers. It’s got to suck to be a Met fan. No pity here though, the organization keeps doing it to itself with dumb move after dumb move. Good day and age to be a Braves fan!
Sorry for the grammatical errors, drunk with excitement over this trade
Imagine beinga fan of the biggest
I love their idea at Amazin Avenue
to play a giant rock in right field instead of FYF.

There’s one guy who insists that Church has no trade value while Francoeur is valuable simply because he can play every day. It must be Minaya’s PR agent or something. There’s a lot of smart Mets fans actually arguing with him about it.
And someone posted this.
watching that video brought me to this one:

Awesome.
The base paths belonged to me, the runner. The rules gave me the right. I always went into a bag full speed, feet first. I had sharp spikes on my shoes. If the baseman stood where he had no business to be and got hurt, that was his fault. -Ty Cobb
That video is GREAT.

Holy crap that delta blooper is amazing
Let’s crunch some numbers for Omar… if Jeff plays 162 games a year and recreates that swing 10 times a game that’s…. 1,620 awkward swings and misses a season! Such simple, but beautiful math. Also, now that he’s at Citi Field, he doesn’t even have warning-track power any more.

As noted by Matthew Cerrone from MetsClog..err, MetsBlog.
The crazy thing is, despite his struggles this season, Francoeur is now third on the Mets in home runs, and third on the team in RBI, which says more about the Mets than anything else.
Should be jealous !!
Go bye Jeff, maybe you can turn your career around, but on the other hand ummm NOOOTTTTT !!!! Frenchy has to realize that if he fails in New York it will not be regional media attacking him but the most brutal media in the world in New York. Ryan Church was a player I liked when he played with the nationals, just has never seemed to be given a fair shake wherever he has been. Plus we still have one more season of Arb eligiblity with him so he will be with us next season. Go Braves !!!! So long Frenchy your going to need it. Mets get another former Brave however this one, ummm is not a future hall of famer LOL !!!

haha, From Schmidtxc:
Francoeur statisically is such an obvious downgrade from Church that it’s fairly obvious that statistics weren’t even a consideration in evaluating this deal. If Francoeur continues to perform this poorly, it may actually force Wilpon to notice the abscence of any statisical analysis in Omar’s approach. Even if Minaya isn’t replaced, if it forces him to explain his thinking to Wilpon it could help with his approach in the future.
They are actually listing Francoeur’s shitty play as a positive because Omar Minaya’s judgment is soooo bad that he may be fired over this!!!
