Javier Vazquez injured, scratched from next start
Javier Vazquez has a strained lower-abdominal muscle that will keep him from making his next start this Sunday. It is not believed to be serious, and the Braves hope the extra rest of the skipped start and the All-Star break will keep them from having to put him on the DL.

Medlen is busy sitting in the bullpen. Can we at least send him down if he’s not going to pitch?

I haven’t counted days or anything but couldn’t we put Vazquez on the DL and bring up an extra arm or something?
They dont want to put him on the Dl it will scare teams away from wanting to trade for him.

And the fact that you can skip him and the all star break is here and it gives him time to heal.
