"Hopefully I'll fit in with those people as well as I have here," McLouth said. "There are so many different levels to the emotions that I'm feeling, but that's one of the things I'm looking forward to, is to have an immediate chance to be in the playoffs.

Aww...
Don’t worry Nate, we already love you!!

Well, he doesn’t love ya’ll or Atlanta. He loves Pittsburgh, where he belongs. Haha. Just playin’. This is a Pirates fan speaking. I am going to miss McLouth dearly. He was (or at least he thought he was) going to be one of pieces to build around, along with catcher Ryan Doumit, to get us back to being a winning team. But what’s done is done, and he’s in Atlanta now. I really loved McLouth. I guess I can call myself a bit of a Braves fan now because I will continue to follow him in Atlanta. Good luck to him! He will be missed.
We'll take good care of him...
It has to be strange getting traded just a few months after signing a club-friendly extension.
I think he could technically demand a trade now.

One intangible
That could really benefit the Braves: having played on the Pirates for so long, McLouth doesn’t know what it’s like to be this close to playoff contention. He needs the Braves to play well as much as the Braves need for him to play well in order for both parties to really flourish.
I like this scenario more than if the Braves made a trade for someone on like the Cubs who came into the season expecting playoffs, but getting shipped to a team who really has to fight to get in. It makes for hungrier-for-success players.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
I will say, though...
He’s been a starter for three minor league playoff teams. Played for the Carolina League champion Lynchburg team in ‘02, and made the IL and CL finals with Indy (’05) and Lynchburg (’03) respectively.

Not to mention that he’s in a lineup with real players (some, at least)

Remember that series in Pittsburgh back in April? I certainly do, I was there…remember when McLouth FUCKED OUR SHIT UP the first 2 games? Yeah. Welcome to Atlanta
