Royals

So I just noticed on ESPN that Coco Crisp will be out for the season.  Will this in any way affect their interest in acquiring our young stud Failcouer?  Of course, I would want nothing to do with it if it means getting Jose Guillen.  If Guillen isn't in the deal, who could we target and potentially steal from Dayton Moore and the Royals

Hey, if the Royals thing doesn't work out maybe we could trade Frenchy to Boston for Nick Green, I hear he's gonna be a stud...

Yeah

Probably won’t make a difference, except Dayton Moore was already sniffing Frenchy’s jockstrap. He called Frenchy a complete player!

wasn't the quote

“completely developed” or some crap like that?

His real name is Covelli Crisp. Coco is just a nickname used on everything just like Chipper is used instead of Larry.

by bbxxj on Jun 24, 2009 12:49 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I met him back in like 2000 or so when he was a SS in the Cardinals system and was going by Covelli. Maybe he just hadn’t got the word out about CoCo back then.

Reminds me, a few years back some player (maybe Manny?) was asked about the Indians and he said, “All I know is they’ve got the cereal and the board game guys.” Those two obviously being Milton Bradley and Coco Crisp.

Not to mention he was a semi-pro boxer

or something like that. He would bring some swagger to the club.

Is it really worth it?

Who plays right then? Sure trade away Francouer and his bad habits for a sack of potatos or whatever KC wants to give us, but the question still remains, who plays right?

I for one am not ready to get rid of a guy when we have no replacement for him. The only thing that KC gives us in return that resembles a right fielder is Guillen, and that guy is a cancer.

You really want Blanco playing every day? That worked out real well last year.

Blanco needs to juice… a lot.

Q: If on-base pct is so important then why don't they put it on the scoreboard? -Failcoeur

A: Because the Braves don't want to show their fans how bad you suck.

Umm...

Last I checked, he had a higher OPS than Frenchy last year.
