The Braves season of off-season almosts continue with Ryan Dempster and the visiting Chicago Cubs. Dempster was reportedly one of the pitchers the Braves were interested in this off-season before the Cubs swooped in and re-signed him to a contract befitting a pitcher who is twice as good.
The guy we most likely got instead, Javier Vazquez, will face off against Demp -- another nice subplot to this Braves game (there've been a lot of subplots lately).

AS Game Question
Anyone know how revenue works with the AS game? like do the Cardinals get all the ticket sales or is it split between based off of players in the game or something like that.
How many errors does he have?
How many at-bats does he have?

escobar hip flexor again for sure?
just wondering, at work till 6 haven’t read anything other than lineup.
although i do like escobars bat, and his ability to turn an awesome play occasionally..he’s a cheap and efficient trading chip..maybe for something alot better..we could deal with a sub-par hitting SS as long as we get a power bat..i mean shit were dealing with a sub par hitting 2nd baseman and a crappy RF right now..not to mention FUGA
i’d argue he turns awesome plays more than occasionally. i think it’d be a shame to get rid of his arm, plus he’s one of the few guys we have right now who can actually knock in guys on base.

So just by initially looking at things, it appears Vazquez is getting into jams and getting out of them, while the offense is…yeah

So, i was working today, making a farm visit, and the guy says to me, “Sorry you didn’t win any money the other day”. I said “huh?”. He said “you were the contestant on the homreun inning one of the games this weekend.” Thanks alot, shitty Braves offense.

This is the kind of guy the Braves can rock around the park if they just wait for their pitch and don’t jump on the first thing that looks appetizing. Its like getting to a club at 9 PM, seeing the big boned chick with a nice face, and cozying up next to her and working your game. You know something better is coming that will end up better than this, but dammit, you need satisfaction now!

This game not withstanding...
Buck Belue had some stat today about the wins and losses of the Braves when we score 3 runs or less VS when we score 4 runs or more. One of you statties that have access to that stuff pull it up. The difference is the tell-tale of our season.
