Charlie Morton to pitch for Pirates against Braves
Should be an interesting side story to tonight's game, but we all knew something like this would happen eventually. The odds are we should know how to beat Morton, I mean, we watched other teams beat him a lot last year. Still, Charlie's a good guy and I wish him the best... beginning after tonight's game.

I wish Charlie the best after tonight. It would be nice to welcome him back to ATL with a good thumping though. Plus hey, he didn’t complain about having his first start of the season against his former team, the Braves…I’m looking at you Smoltz.
inevitable Braves loss
Since Morton is a pitcher the Braves have never faced before, I foresee him throwing a no hitter. Sigh.
plus the fact they’ve scored more than 3 runs in 3 straight games…this offense just cant keep that pace up
I’d love so see Charlie throw seven scoreless and for us to get the win off the bullpen.

You hit the nail on the head. I really will Charlie, and wish him nothing but the best.
Slee made a good point above. Can the Braves sustain this offensive surge?
Anyone know if FYF will be out of the lineup again?
Now that would make too much sense to not play him again. So yeah, I’m sure we’ll be seeing him in there again.

I was in my car...
driving my kids somewhere. One of the kids is flipping through a magazine I had left in the backseat – the Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal type. Suddenly she starts screaming “MOM! There’s a naked man in your magazine!” I stopped the car and grabbed the magazine, and sure enough, right there amongst the recipes and “Can This Marriage Be Saved?” is a full centerfold of Charlie Morton, in all his glory.
I have no idea what brought on this dream. He is a nice looking young man, though.

Obviously,
I wish Charlie the best with the Pirates in his career because he was a really well-liked guy around these parts and the Atlanta organization, but I don’t get the idea of wishing him success tonight.
Personally, I hope we absolutely give him fits this evening, and then he can go on pitching no-no’s and scoreless innings in subsequent starts.
One bad start doesn’t spell doom for the rest of his career, but I certainly don’t want anyone having any semblance of success against Atlanta.
who knows?
If he has a decent sinker we will not hit him all that well…but yes he did pitch in inter-squad games so lets see…Fuga did’t see him much , mac and chipper too. So, that leaves diaz, k j Essco to produce.
