Jesus Manny, why even compromise what you had going.......well, he is Manny

"Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was okay to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I’ve taken and
passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons.

“I want to apologize to Mr. McCourt, Mrs. McCourt, Mr. Torre, my teammates, the Dodger organization, and to the Dodger fans. LA is a special place to me and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I’m sorry about this whole situation.”

Manny was trying to get it back up. lol

The intent of Ramirez’s breach of baseball’s drug policy – supposedly he was trying to stimulate sexual performance, ironic and convenient at once – does not matter. Everyone who tests positive has an excuse. There is a list of 58 performance enhancers and 30 stimulants written out, and millionaires with everything at their disposal still can’t help themselves. So it’s time for Major League Baseball to do it for them.

Wow

I really thought he was clean. I thought he was all natural. It’s a crying shame after he put those numbers up over the last two and a half years. Who is next that puts up those numbers? Ryan Howard maybe? maybe Fat Albert for the cards? You have to believe Big Papi was using since he has declined so much. A Roid never suprised me, but come on Manny!! Who will be the next big star that a failed test will tarnish all they have done for this game, and at what point does it just not even matter any more? It’s a crying shame of what has become of this beloved game I have cared so much for and respected so much since I was a kid. I guess it’s something I have to deal with, because nothing will ever make me stop watching, the strike didn’t do it, and neither will steroids.

Proof that when posting while high or intoxicated can lead to some really funny posts

First A-Roid and now Manroid. Are we ever going to stop attatching the name of -roid to every juicer?

"Yankees and Red Sox..........Yankees and Red Sox...."

It’s not enough that they have the HIGHEST, and 4th highest payrolls in baseball (not to mention the fact that all they’re hardcore fans totally suck……yeah, it’s true)

But these guys and their sketchy cousins can’t get enough of the juice. Way to keep it reall, assholes.

Even ESPN can’t get enough of it. 10 bucks says there’s a Yankees/Red Sox game on tonite. It’s funny that Red Sox fans see themselves as “the good guys” compared to the Yankees. How about this one though? They both suck cock.

ouch

There was a Saturday a few weeks ago when we had a 1pm game, but of course I couldn’t watch it on Extra Innings because of Fox. I thought “well hell, maybe Fox is showing our game”, but of course they weren’t…they weren’t showing any baseball at all until the 4pm Yankee game.

Why? I know they can’t get the Yankee cock out of their mouth, but why wouldn’t they at least show another game during the time leading up the the first pitch? So frustrating.

yeah. the Braves started playing again and even though THAT GAME was advertised

they opted for your world champion Thillies.

I. Want. Thillie.

you should be careful to point fingers

im sure we have had our fair share of juicers

by Doghnut on May 8, 2009 11:23 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

that's a moot point though.

That’s like saying, “everybody is inherently bad. Even if they don’t get caught, they are doing something wrong.”

The Braves get drug tested as well. And any news regarding this (possible) scenario is always welcome.

moot point?

so you’ll call all of the Braves assholes if one former player gets caught like you called all of the Sox players assholes because of a guy that hasnt been on their team in 9 months?

I just dont understand how ManRam + PEDs = every red sox and yankee player and fan is an ass…I wonder if youd say that about the Braves and Mets if Teixera got caught…

by Doghnut on May 8, 2009 12:05 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

to clarify

i just dont understand why everyone jumps on the yanks/sox every single chance they get…i mean, manny is a dodger now and i dont see their fan base or team getting jumped on..

it isnt NY or Boston’s fault how much ESPN covers them, just like it isnt ESPN’s fault that when trying to make money, they decide to shift the majority of focus to the two teams with the largest (by far) fan bases, a practice every sports news agency in the world practices.

"one" guy>? for the sox?! lol

There’s alot of question marks surrounding that ‘04 season for them. Nothing is definite, but when all the guys writing over at ESPN think something’s up, I listen.

haha

there are a lot of suspicions over every team, not just the sox…

I wonder how many people in LA got tattoos of Manny's face on their back or something

(moment of silence) haha
