Game 48 Recap: Braves 10, DBacks 6

What did I say? If I had time I would definitely go through and see what our record and runs scored is with Chipper, Escobar and McCann all in the lineup vs when we are missing at least one of them. Don't get me wrong, we still need another bat (we picked up 11 of our 13 hits in the first 5 innings and put no runs on the board after the 4th), but it is funny to me how much worse we are when just one of those guys isn't in there.

Jurrjens got the win even though pitched what was easily his worst start of the season. Maybe we should stick to giving the guy 1 and 2 run leads? He seems to be more comfortable that way. The bullpen was pretty solid in this one (you know... besides Moylan) and Gonzales even struck out the side. Which is good.

Anyways, good win for us, lets win the next two and take the series.

This team does whatever it takes to stay .500…

Since April 13th…

When entering the game at .500 or better, we are 6-18.
When entering the game under .500, we are 13-5.

Q: If on-base pct is so important then why don't they put it on the scoreboard? -Failcoeur

A: Because the Braves don't want to show their fans how bad you suck.

When Chipper, McCann, and Escobar play together

I count our record as 11-7. Sadly, that’s not even half of the games we’ve played.

Records:
Missing None = 11-7
Missing only Chipper = 2-2
Missing only Yunel = 0-2
Missing only Mac = 7-8
Missing Chipper AND Yunel = 2-3
Missing Chipper AND Mac = 1-1
Missing Yunel AND Mac = 1-1
Missing all three = 0-0

Run production:
Missing None = 4.1/game
Missing only Chipper = 6.0/game
Missing only Yunel = 1.0/game
Missing only Mac = 4.9/game
Missing Chipper AND Yunel = 3.2/game
Missing Chipper AND Mac = 3.0/game
Missing Yunel AND Mac = 7.0/game
Missing all three = N/A

Since only McCann is the only sample large enough to really care...

It seems that that David Ross signing was rather astute. I can assure you there wouldn’t be a chance off the nearly 1-run improvement with Corky effin’ Miller in the lineup.
