Game 47 Recap - DBacks 5, Braves less

Good point about when everyone is in the lineup, its not that bad.

We REALLY need a bat. If we could add a bat like Brad Hawpe for Gorkys Hernandez, Mortonl and a decent prospect like Brandon Hicks, our lineup wouldn’t be bad.

It’s getting to the point where we almost expect to lose every game we play with our shitty offense and inconsistent bullpen.

I wonder what our record is with chip, esco and mac in the lineup and what it is without all 3 of them?
 

I realize Kelly hit 2 doubles but he also booted a ball that probably cost us the game.

Well since we can’t add anymore fan post about it I’ll say it here. This offense stinks. I will say this in defense we did face three great (don’t know if you call Randy great anymore) pitchers in the past four games and they did pitch well but holy crap does this offense suck.

I checked the boxscore on my phone while I was shooting zombies, and this is what I saw

I didn’t even look at the names of 6-7-8-P, because I kinda figured who they probably were.

I flipped on the radio as I went to pick up the wife at work (yeah, around midnight!) and I got to hear three pitches being called and all were Failcouer swinging. Struck out on three straight pitches. Lovely.

And I didn’t even get upset. I pretty much expected it. I think that’s a bit sad though.

Did you have to tell them to vent in the game thread? Can’t we have a “I want to sound like I’m an such an expert on baseball and the Braves that I can talk about how worthless they are in every way possible even though the stats or even common sense doesn’t back it up” perma-fanpost? Because the game threads are becoming almost unbearable with the constant whining and people trying to out-do each other with how horrrrrribbbly our team sucks. Okay, I get the right-fielder stuff. He deserves it, and continues to give ammunition. But most of the rest is just irritating, because the next time we win three in a row, the same people either won’t be there, or they will be starting petitions to get the whole team in the All Star Game. All the mini-bandwagon jumpers are just killing me. I’m sorry, I’ll be quiet now.

Seriously…the FYF, Diory, Schafer strikeouts in the 2nd inning were some of the worst ABs I’ve ever seen.

I just talked to Bubb Rubb, and he said he misses everyone. Hopefully the Braves will let him come back soon.

Ok, I’ll vent. Right now I just feel like this team is, well, weak. Offensively speaking, that is. Any lead the other team has just feels insurmountable. It’s fairly obvious that we need some sort of roster move, but what? I think Schafer has a good swing and will eventually work things out, but with the guys we have manning the corner spots right now, his struggles are magnified. He is really pressing. I won’t even discuss French, I’m sick to death of griping. As far as GA, he always seems to be somewhere else, always looking off in the distance. Probably towards California. There, I’m done.
