Andruw Jones trade?
I know your initial reaction to this is NOOOOO!!!!!! But hear me out. The Rangers really have no room for him. He is their fifth outfielder and backup DH. On top of that, he is having a pretty good season so far. Granted, he only has 64 AB, but he has 16 walks and 14 strikeouts. Much better than he has been the last two years. He is hitting .297 with a .439 OPB and .594 SLG. He also has 4 home runs so far. Once again, 64 AB, but even through this much time the last two seasons, he completely awful. I know he was awful his last season with us, but can he be any worse than GA? What we need is another OF bat, and he could provide that. But what would we have to give up for him? Jo-Jo and Brandon Jones/Blanco? Or would the Rangers want more? What do you think of the idea? And what would we have to give up for him?

If he plays better D then Anderson, and is just as incompetant with the bat, I might be willing to give up someone like Marek and maybe Diory Hernandez.
The only justification i have for this is my overwhelming hate for Anderson. I prefer Andruw’s lack of professionalism to Garret’s abundance of it.
hindsight is 20-13 just like Ted William actual vision- ken tremendous
HGH perhaps? Don’t be surprised that he was using before—especially when he hit 51 homers—and he is using them now to prop up his stats. He may have stopped doing it a couple of years ago for fear he would get caught and either it ruined him physically or he wasn’t that good in the first place. Now he is going it again because he has a lot to lose or nothing to lose depending on how you look at it—basically it comes down to never playing baseball again.
Look at who has been “caught” so far…

would that make you happy? if he was using steroids of HGH when he played for the Braves? personally, i think it would be devastating, and without any evidence to back it up, i don’t know why a Braves fan would say some shit like that

that hurts
wow . . . i kinda dont want to think about any of our homegrown greats possibly using things like HGH and Steroids.
If i ever found out the likes of Smoltz, Glavine, Chipper, Andruw, etc
i would kinda just stop watching baseball

Doesn’t anyone think it’s a bit suspicious that he was absolutely HORRIBLE last year and suddenly he is now a stud? Maybe the Rangers know it and they are afraid to play him. I don’t know.

might be a good idea....
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball.

Plus his BABIP is like .040 points above his career average. He’s simply on a hot streak, playing in a good hitters park.

TP still here
I shudder to think what would happen bringing Andruw back with Pendleton still here as batting coach. Unless the Rangers trade us their hitting coach too, I’d pass on this idea.
