Heyward and Freeman

1st- I know i'm kinda late in asking this but the thought literally just crossed my mind. In any case- Everyone is raving about how well they hit, but what is each one's defensive ability like. Its something that nobody really talks about (i'm guessing because of their offensive capabilities, but im still curious about it.) Everybody says they are really impressive with the bat, but I have no clue how they are as fielders.

Anyone know how good they are in the field?

I don’t know too much about Freeman’s fielding ability.

freeman i have heard is a little slow and stiff but that is all i know

Will both of these guys be starting in Myrtle Beach?
have all of the rosters been released yet?

If Freeman is being compared to Mark Grace then I think we will be set at 1B for a decade if he can continue to hit as he progresses through the rest of the minor leagues. Grace was one of the top 5 defensive 1B of all time.

specifically he’s Mark Grace with more power… which is a very good prediction to have

Strengths: Freeman is an RBI machine who relishes the opportunity to hit with runners on base. He’s an aggressive hitter with a swing-first approach, yet he has good pitch recognition and doesn’t chase pitches out of the zone. He drives the ball with authority with his sweet, smooth swing and should be able to produce significant home run totals at higher levels. His defense is well above average at first base, with some scouts comparing Freeman to Mark Grace but with more power.
