Do we have a newbie guide?

PrintI was mowing the lawn yesterday and for some reason began to wonder this. I know when I joined the site however long ago it was I had no clue what most of what was said here meant. And seeing NCChopper going through the same thing made me get the idea that we should put together some kind of newbie guide/glossary so people can decipher our sometimes mostly incoherent rambling. I'm unemployed (thank you, economy) so I've got plenty of time on my hands to put it together. Thoughts?

Seriously though, I admit to wondering what the FYF stood for (thanks for asking rocket8188) but hesitated to ask because I didn’t want to be a pest.
However, I’ll say that in just a few days posting I’ve figured out most of it and anything I couldn’t, the posters on here were very helpful and didn’t mind helping me out when asked. The HELPS are good, but it doesn’t do much to help with the acronyms and the nicknames for stuff.
Heck, I’ve even learned a few phrases and words I didn’t know existed (my lack of campus jargon has been showing) and although I’m sure they were laughing when they replied to me, they answered and did it nicely.
A quick reference would be helpful to newbies who may hesitant to ask in fear of being embarrassed.
So, are you up to the task BullManUGA?
Off the top of my head
ATJ – All Thumbs Jefferson for Kelly Johnson. I think his old old nickname was Scooter.
Rake – Greg Norton because he looks like a tool in his picture last year
Imhotep or Mummy guy – Infante because he looks like the guy from the mummy
3U – Kotchman for hitting weak grounders to 1st base
Leon, the Professional, the glider, FUGA – Garret Anderson, professional hitter and defensive glider.
Heap – McCann. His friends gave him the nickname I believe.
SWAGGA – BJones
Logan Shaver – Mr. Schafer because ESPN announcers are dumbfucks.
FYF – Frenchy you Fuck or Frenchy you Freak when he’s good.
Rev – Jorge Campillo. I forgot what this one stood for. Revelation?
Other stuff
Vidro – double play
Walk – something that doesn’t help you score runs
OPS guy – #44

I came in here a few months back and discovered you can learn most of this stuff just from reading the posts and people’s comments. This kind of stuff comes up a lot, no need for a guide if people spend enough time here.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. I lurked for a long time before posting anything. It’s okay to get a feel for the group before you foist your opinion on them. You don’t have to be the coolest kid in school on the very first day. Those kind of people are annoying. Either you ease into the group, or you take some abuse. That’s the way life works. Why do people think it should work differently on the internets?

I would even add that taking some abuse is part of the initiation process.
