There is an article on Jordan Schafer in the new ESPN Mag

It looks to be about his journey from being suspended because of HGH to the majors. It's a pretty good article and it tells alot about who he is and how he's changed since being drafted and being a big primadonna. I think the whole drug thing has humbled him and in a way may have made him a better person. Apparently he and Matt Diaz have become really good friends having worked out together in the offseason.

Havn’t read the story yet, but I find it funny that him and Diaz have become good friends. Not sure why.

Because Diaz is on drugs and twitching?

Because Diaz is a 30-ish family man/son of a pastor and Schafer is a 22-ish Eminem wannabe?

This straight out of Eastboud and Down. I love Schaffer even more now!

“I rode his ass about attitude,” Weitzel says. "He was the cockiest damn 12-year-old who’s ever lived. Baseball America called him the best 13-year-old player in the country, and that made it worse. He’d strike a guy out in high school and give him the guns-and-holster thing. I’d say, ‘You can’t be shushing the crowd as you round the bases when there’s only 20 people in the stands!’ "
