The Braves are struggling right now, especially in the offensive category. However, the good news is that, despite playing some pretty shoddy baseball on this road trip, none of the other NL East teams are really stringing together any wins. The Braves have lost, what, 7 of 10 and haven't really dropped at all in the standings.
I'm still happy about the pitching staff. The bullpen seems to have settled down a bit of recent. I can't really point to anyone who is stinking up the joint (besides Boyer and he's gone). There seems to be a reoccurring problem from the past couple years of just simply not driving runs in after getting guys on base.
All that aside, I also don't think Washington is as gawdawful as people say they are. They have a pretty tough lineup for sure. They are running into trouble closing out games, but I think were leading the Marlins late in each game of their series. Will they finish above .500? No. But I don't think they are as useless as most would have you believe.
