"We'll see how [Garret Anderson is] coming along," [Bobby Cox] said. "We hate to put him on the disabled list, because he could be such a force in our lineup. He really can hit [and is a] good-looking hitter."
Bobby Cox discussing the possibility of Garret Anderson going on the DL
OK, really? "Such a force in our lineup?" More of a farce in our lineup. Best to put him on the DL then send him on an extended rehab assignment, meanwhile letting Matt Diaz and Brandon Jones prove their worth.

I hate to have to defend Anderson over and over again
Because I didn’t really support the signing. But the guy has been a decent hitter as recent as last year. If a guy is hitting .293 with some pop and he’s down in the lineup, I don’t see the problem. But you’re right, DL him if he’s hurt.
But so it goes. Obviously, OBP is the only thing important to performing on the baseball diamond.
Dude…if he’s healthy and hitting lower in the lineup I think you’d find most people would be fine with him in LF. But he’s neither, and that’s a major problem.

25 ABs
It’s clear that Anderson is finished. In fact, it was clear after the first 20 ABs; the last 5 just confirmed it.
