Barbaro Canizares anyone?
Hey, been reading the posts for a while just decided to post something. So we have all seen our horrible hitting lately, save for chipper's triple and diaz's hr last night, so I have seen Barbaro alot since I live near where the Richmond Braves played. So what I am saying is why not give him a look. I know he isnt exactly a young gun but who cares the man can hit. Last year he hit .300 with 13 HRs, 67 RBIs, and only 67 SO in about 500 ABs. This year he hasnt slowed down hitting .388 with 2 HRs in 50 ABs. Try not to completely rag on me its just a thought. By the way just would like to say I completely hate fair weatherd fans who are already posting that this season is done.
Thanks,
GOOOO BRAVES

the only problem with this is… Barbaro doesnt have a place in the field… he is a 1B…maybe he could replace Kotchman…but i dont know how much that would help… the biggest problem is no power out of our 1B…Canizares wouldnt fix this….
If you are proposing using Canizares as a bench bat… that doesnt really work that well either. He is essentially Norton, without the ability to play the OF or the ability to hit with power. Norton has struggled this year in his limited role, but i dont know that Canizares can be better.
I agree Canizares is hitting really well… but if I remember his defense is atrocious… he has limited power. He really has a limited skill set and that is good contact hitter and good gap power.
Heyward,Hanson, and Shaffer r ready now!! Why do you think they havent signed the "right handed bat"?

He's SLOW
Barbaro has like, no foot speed. He’s hitting well now, but the lack of foot speed is a big concern in my opinion.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
You don't get it
Canizares is slower than Kotchman. When he hit a homer in Gwinnett, I thought he was hot dogging it, but no, he was “jogging” across the bases.

How is he as a PH, career?
Maybe this could be the solution to the problem Gondeee presented on the main page? Whose spot he would take I have no idea, however.
"People need help, and you know how to help them."
but i would prefer to have a PH who could actually play the field somewhere as well. Norton isnt pretty but he can tplay both corner OF spots and 1B… i dont htink Canizares can say that. The rest of our bench can play mutiple positions (infante and prado).
