Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence Remains Unchanged

Even after the worst bullpen collapse this century for the Atlanta Braves, the fans' confidence in the team remained steady and unwavering from last week to this week. The inaugural fan confidence poll, taken the Friday before the season started, showed that there was a 76% confidence level in the Braves. That number remained unchanged after week two of the poll came in at exactly the same 76%.

The Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence Poll occurrs here every Friday and voting stays open for 48 hours with results posted the following week.

Perhaps even the Braves' fanbase is undervaluing this team, as ESPN now ranks the Braves number-1 in their power rankings.

If it wasn’t for that bullpen meltdown again the Phillies, I bet we could have broken the big 8-0.

If it wasn’t for that bullpen meltdown, the team would be undefeated and fan confidence would be soaring.

I think the reason Braves fans are still a little skeptical is mainly since we had something like 8 pitchers go down last season. First Moylan got hurt, then Soriano. Soon after that Smoltzy and Chipper got hurt. Then Diaz busted his knee. I think Glavine went down too in June. After those injuries, McCann and Escobar started getting banged up. A week before the trade deadline, Huddy had to have TJS thus we traded Tex to the Angels.

I mean when our rotation and bullpen went from what it was opening day to what is was by August (I believe our rotation was Jurrjens, Campillo, Morton, Reyes, Bennett), its hard to keep confidence up. I just REALLY hope we can keep this hot streak going.

Be quick, but don't hurry.
