Thank you.
Everyone, I just wanted to drop by and say thank you for all the nice posts and gestures on Halos Heaven concerning the loss of Nick Adenhart. Despite the normal allegiances and the fun we have playing those up at one another's expense, we really are all fellow members in the greater community that is baseball and we all share in this loss. It was a class act to join us in supporting Nick's family and teammates. Your thoughts and prayers were very welcome, and your actions deserve to be recognized. Well played. Thanks.

Another Halo fan here
Who decided to jump on Stirrups band wagon, to express gratitude and heartfelt thanks for the support given by those of you here at Talking Chop. While we are still in mourning here on the west coast regarding our loss, not of a player, but of a young man full of promise, your gestures of compassion and love made a terrible situation as good as it could be given the circumstances. Thank you very much. I will visit your fine site more, and should have joined last season after Kotch’s trade ( give him a chance, he’s young, with a GREAT glove ) and GA was always my favorite Angel, a professional hitter, better defense than advertised, and an all around soft spoken classy guy. Once again, thank you for all the support.
YOU DON'T KNOW THE POWER OF THE DARKSIDE.....
No, thank you very much. The Angels are a classy organization with classy fans. Again, I am sorry for your loss, he was a true talent, seemed like a good kid, and a wonderful human being. This is not just a loss for a team, or for baseball, but for all of humankind. My thoughts go out to his family, his friends, and you, his fans.
As much as we love it, baseball is just a game. Rest In Peace Nick Adenhart.

There's nothing more I can add
That was perfect. Thank you.

+1
Exactly.
You can't sit on a lead and run a few plays into the line and just kill the clock. You've got to throw the ball over the goddamn plate and give the other man his chance. That's why baseball is the greatest game of them all.

What happened to you guys is something that could happen to anyone on any major league team at any given time. The support is something nobody would really ever think twice about because the gift of human life is something that transcends the gift of baseball.
Though many are millionaire athletes living charmed lives, you become inextricably attached to the many of the guys on your team and I can’t imagine having to deal with a part of your “family” being senselessly taken from you.
I know the Angels will continue to play their season with inspiration towards the memory of Nick Adenhart.
I’ve always rooted for the Angels. They’re an easy team to like. Classy fans and classy individuals from top to bottom in the organization. Perhaps we’ll meet in the World Series.
Oh, Bobby.
