For People who like prospects

Just for those of us out there who like prospects you don't get anything much better than this. Ben Badler will be live blogging from tonight's Norfolk-Durham game where Matt Wieters and David Price will face off against each other for their first and most likely last time in the minors. (I think it is the first anyways).

I will be frantically hitting F5 all night as I watch the Braves and monitor our other minor league games. It is surely rare that you get to see the two best prospects in baseball match up in such a way especially when they both should be holding down major league jobs right now. Join me in the fun!

I’m pissed I didn’t go to any Bowie-Harrisburg games last year to see Wieters. I’m not gonna make that mistake this year, but some basic skimming tells me the Eastern League doesn’t look too hot this year.

He’s starting in AAA, so yeah…best Nats prospect is Detweiler, and I’ll doubt he’ll be there very long. Akron looks solid enough, so I’ll probably check them out a couple times.

Being WV oddly gives me a lot of choices for baseball this season. I’ll be at the pirates home opener on monday and I am gonna go to Cinci and hopefully Cleveland at some point. might be a good summer.

Ben Badler (who’s actually a super nice guy) won’t be blogging jack from the game cause it got rained out. But only after I drove three hours from Norfolk to watch it. I did still get autographs from both Wieters and Price again, but I really wanted to see the matchup. And now Price won’t be pitching on Wednesday when I go back.
