Chipper strains oblique at WBC

Yeah so Chipper has another oblique problem at the WBC. They reported on the broadcast that it is a mild strain so we'll see how it progresses. Sucks though. I didn't see when it happened but they attributed it to his poor hitting so far in the Classic. Hopefully he won't be out long.

P.S. For those who didn't already know, Rick Sutcliff is a total ass. Listen to him call a game for about 5 minutes and it's pretty easy to understand. A perfect idiot.

He was still in the dugout, yukking it up with Dunn for the remainder of the game…it’s probably nothing too serious.

But yeah, he hasn’t looked like himself so far in the WBC.

I think that's an understatement

Chipper has looked pretty bad so far in the WBC, hopefully though you’re right in that it’s nothing serious.

FYI … you need to get your ass in gear and update the commish note with who’s who in the TCFBR2 league. Slacker!

He did hit a homerun in one of the tune-up games

I also saw him in the dugout talking to Dunn. I take that as a good sign but I’m just trying my hardest to be positive. I want think they said he took himself out, being cautious, but I know this is still something that will take a little time to heal. Like Smotlz’s Beard said, just doesn’t look like himself right now.

At least its happening in the spring.

God, I’m gonna smash my head against this marble table I’m working off if I see Prado in the lineup on opening night.

Question to ponder...

Can Chipper nail his wife without straining a muscle? I think not. What say you?

Oh, Bobby.

There are some things that are worth the pain.

Isn't that how Kotsay hurt his back?

If Chipper’s wife is worth pain, god what is Kotsay’s wife worth.

Anyone else remember when Chipper supposedly injured himself last season reaching into his locker?

How about when John Smoltz hurt himself ironing his shirt…..It is funny because he happened to be wearing that shirt.
