Josh Anderson in lead for CF

He doesn't say why, but John Perrotto says that Josh Anderson has become the "frontrunner" to be the Braves' center fielder. This has been the thinking for most of the off-season, and especially recently.

Well, duh. Anderson’s doing OK, not great, but OK (.316 BA, but .316 OPB as well). But his main competition is either hurt (Schafer) or Gregor Blanco. I don’t see a lot of viable alternatives at this point, and unless he strikes out his next 15 ABs, the job’s probably his.

and Blanco is just making things easier

I’m half asleep (long weekend) but I think I saw Blanco misplay a ball for VEN that cost them the lead…

He probably heard that while Derek Jeter was teaching BMac that it is better to his a Sac Fly to the opposite field than it is to pull the ball and ground into an inning ending double play.
