Spring Training Open Thread: Panama at Braves
The Fightin' Noriegas come to face-off against the Braves today at the WWOS. It's not a traditional spring training game, but a spring game nonetheless. It's even more exciting knowing that TOMMY HANSON will be starting!
I pimped the Heater's spring training Radar Tracking a few weeks ago, but now they have added spring training stats along side the preview of each team. If you're thinking of playing fantasy baseball and want a leg-up, go here and subscribe to The Heater.
Speaking of fantasy baseball. Perhaps you've noticed the ads under the first story for CBS fantasy baseball. It's apparently a pretty cool system with tons of great features. If you're thinking of signing up, please use the link from my site to register -- I apparently get a little bunny everytime someone signs up.

What do I win?
This is just a general request for every single game open-thread from here on out til the World Series – can someone please post frequent scores and updates? Its often hard to sift through hundreds of nested comments to find the score and how they did it (Chip got on, Mac brought him home).
Although, it might be worth it to find those gems of comedy sprinkled throughout.
i am getting more and more upset every day that i can’t hear the Braves on MLB audio, especailly after Pete Van Wieren did every spring game last year. This Jim Powell is one lazy mofo.
DAMN YOU VAN WIEREN!!!!
Your source for blind optimism.
Not to completely discount Francoeur
I think most of us here could get an RBI off of Bruce Chen.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
Team USA
Also a reminder, we can see Chipper and BMac playing with Team USA against the Yankees on MLB.tv today.
Not looking too good for Panama if the Braves are kicking their ass. At least Concho got a hit off Tommy, maybe he’ll do well.

You want bad?
Italy somehow DP’d, 8-1-5-R2.

Hanson
I think we’re going to start the season with the wrong Tommy.
3IP, 3K, 2H, 1BB, 1R, 0ER, WHIP 1.00
Don't know if anyone is paying attention
But the United States is beating the Yankees 6-2 right now, and the Dominican Republic just exploded for 6 runs in the 5th to overtake the Marlins, 6-1.

On a related note
The Mets put up a massive fail against STL – 13-0 in the 4th last I looked.

You got a link for the boxscore, or are you going to make me waste 15 secs of my life looking it up?

Unfortunately
I can’t find any box scores. MLB’s feeds are unreliable, but show boxes, but ESPN actually has a more up-to-the-minute scoring.

Was looking for the USA boxscore, but thanks for this.
Looks like ATJ and Heyward had a good day in the batter’s box.

score
Braves Win 11-2. If Frenchy gets sent down to AAA this year, will Heyward get called up to take his spot?
Unless Heyward absolutely demolishes the pitching in the pitching in the minors, I think most people here would say no.

My point was, that if FYF sucks Heyward probably wouldn’t be the first person they looked at to fill in the position. Probably…

If Heyward had 20 HR by September
He could be in RF for a month.
60% of the time, it works every time
Well, if FYF has an OBP under .300 and he’s still playing up until Sept, then we’ve got problems.
