Spring Training Open Thread: Panama at Braves

The Fightin' Noriegas come to face-off against the Braves today at the WWOS. It's not a traditional spring training game, but a spring game nonetheless. It's even more exciting knowing that TOMMY HANSON will be starting!

I pimped the Heater's spring training Radar Tracking a few weeks ago, but now they have added spring training stats along side the preview of each team. If you're thinking of playing fantasy baseball and want a leg-up, go here and subscribe to The Heater.

Speaking of fantasy baseball. Perhaps you've noticed the ads under the first story for CBS fantasy baseball. It's apparently a pretty cool system with tons of great features. What do I win?

This is just a general request for every single game open-thread from here on out til the World Series – can someone please post frequent scores and updates? Its often hard to sift through hundreds of nested comments to find the score and how they did it (Chip got on, Mac brought him home).

Although, it might be worth it to find those gems of comedy sprinkled throughout.

i am getting more and more upset every day that i can’t hear the Braves on MLB audio, especailly after Pete Van Wieren did every spring game last year. This Jim Powell is one lazy mofo.

I haven’t heard a single home broadcast yet. This is my first year to sign up for the audio, so i don’t know what last year is like. I am in the braves tv area so i didn’t sign up for MLB tv. My understanding is that for the regular season all feeds will broadcast…is this correct?

I can’t find any box scores. MLB’s feeds are unreliable, but show boxes, but ESPN actually has a more up-to-the-minute scoring.

He probably wouldn’t be the first player looked at, but maybe he should be. How old was Andruw when he came up, 19? Maybe that wasn’t the best example… Griffey…he was 19 when called up by the Mariners… Arod was 18.

Gorecki is a former Cardinals prospect the Braves picked up partway through last season. He played for Mississippi. He’s a good player, but he has a tendency to get hurt. He’s not a prospect though, since he’s 28 or so and never really lived up to the early hype.
