Mark Bowman recently talked with Frank Wren regarding potential trades happening with the surplus of Arms at his disposal. Which several teams have inquiried about available starting pitching and bullpen arms to trade for. I believe that we will be seeking out 3B/MI prospects to give the farm some depth in which is badly needed. The 25 man roster is pretty much set at this point and I can't see a trade that would be for a MLer in return. So what kind of trade value would a Campillo/Bennett/Carlyle/Acosta could fetch in return? And could we add additional prospects to get a top end 3B in return? The Braves will have all the leverage once we get closer to opening day with pitching being a premium and teams getting more despert to fill out rosters with ML ready pitchers. Who would you want to get in return in any trade that Wren may pull off? Here is a few prospects that could be on the radar for the braves.
"But at the same time, the luxury of having an overabundance of Major League-ready arms puts Wren in a position where he could improve his organizational strength by moving at least one of his pitchers. Jeff Bennett, Buddy Carlyle, Manny Acosta and Jorge Campillo appear to be the most expendable pitchers who could provide some value on the trade market. But while Wren has the means to improve his club via trade, he doesn't exactly have a glaring need on his Major League roster."
