To kind of dove tail off the debate/conversation about left field. This article on si.com http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/tom_verducci/02/03/2009.rays/index.html comments that most of the good teams in 2008 were run preventors instead of run producers.
With the revamped rotation, which could end up being very good, it might make more sense to try to bring in Swisher. Yes, Dunn can hit the ball a mile, but he won't necessarily help the Braves prevent runs. While our '08 offense was no juggernaut, it still ranked 6th in the NL in runs scored, and that was with some of our starters in a season long slump.
I guess my point is to say, we might be better served spending our remaining money on Ohman and bringing in Swisher. They give us the best chance to keep runs off the board.
