Graph of the Day: 2005 NL MVP Race - BtB
By Fangraphs' RAR, Jones was a step ahead of Pujols in 2005. An insignificant step.
[Hit is offense, Fld is fielding, Pos is positional adjustment, PT is playing time, and RAR is total runs above replacement.]

I always thought he should have won that year.
We should have signed Adam Dunn.

Agreed
Pujols had been #2’d for like 3-4 years prior, what was one more going to hurt him? It’s not like he wasn’t going to win MVP awards in the future anyway.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Plus, he’s got the whole God thing going for him. Andruw’s just Andruw now.
We should have signed Adam Dunn.
