somebody record innings 3 and 4.

just hold up your cell phone camera to the TV for 2 or 3 pitches and post it on here. I don’t think I can get out of work early enough to catch the 3rd inning.

by Fischerking on Feb 26, 2009 12:44 PM EST reply actions

ESPN. Is 10-4 gonna be around to give updates again? I’m dying to find out how his spider solitaire game is going today.

We should have signed Adam Dunn.

I’ve been out of the office doing actual work all day-just got in after changing a blowout on the truck just a few miles from getting back to the office. At this point, i’m debating turning a blind eye and waiting to watch it on DVR when i get home. And i haven’t even got to play Spider Solitaire today!

MVP 05

hasnt been a good baseball game since this

by bravesguy311 on Feb 26, 2009 2:08 PM EST up reply actions

i had the same feeling

till i played 2k8. I love the pitching interface. Sure it was hard, but you felt rewarded when you finally mastered the system.

by yondaime4 on Feb 26, 2009 2:10 PM EST up reply actions

MVP ‘05 is good, but I’ll go out on a limb and say 2K9 will be better. I was very impressed with it. They got rid of the timing mechanism in the pitching interface that was in 2K8, and moved the mound further back. It makes it feel more realistic and you can actually take a walk.

I’ve never liked a baseball game. The last one I actually played was something like VR Baseball or something like that only because the Home Run Derby was so much fun to play.

I’m downloading it now. After buying 2K8 and being repulsed by it I don’t have high hopes. I wish I had a PS3 so I could play The Show. I actually bought The Show last year so I could play it on my roommate’s PS3.

I played the demo for The Show ‘09, too. It was okay, I couldn’t really tell a huge difference between ’08 and ’09.

via wikipedia, so you know its true

In 2009, Gatorade began a massive rebranding, resulting in new names for most of their products. Some products only had name changes:

    * Original Gatorade is now known as Gatorade G.
    * G2 received a minor name change to Gatorade G2.
    * Gatorade Rain is now known as No Excuses.

Also, in 2006, Gatorade introduced its Rain flavor line, which features a lighter, crisp taste similar to its Propel line but which comes in the bottle size and shape as the original Gatorade. In late 2007, a lower-calorie line of Gatorade drinks, named G2, was released.

I saw the batting stance before I could even see who it was. Couldn’t mistake that for anyone else.

Oswalt

was pretty filthy today…would love to see him in a braves uni some day

I thought he would have been our "mystery trade"

Who would we all be willing to give up for old Roy?

Yeah...

I’d like to think Oswalt would come a lot cheaper and could easily be just as effective out of a hitters park like Minute Maid

2010 is going to be sick

Schafer CF
Heywerd LF
Frenchy RF

Chipper 3B-when chipper retires yunel slides over
Yunel SS
K. Johnson 2B- might be trade bait for a bullpen arm during FA
Kotchman 1B with Freeman in 2011
McCann C

Lowe
Vazquez

Kawakami
Hanson

Plus Hudson Option

Sorry to rosterbate but seeing the spring game today and hearing about the tigers game I can’t help but get excited.

Fatazfoot was right! They are ready!

We should have signed Adam Dunn.

by Smoltz's Beard on Feb 26, 2009 4:17 PM EST reply actions

He’s kind of like Rainman in that aspect – nobody wants to take him seriously because he sounds retarded, but he’ll always be right.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Heyward,Hanson, and Shaffer r ready now!! Why do you think they havent signed the “right handed bat”?

Because he was referring to OFs

and Freeman is a 1B.

Alright!! We came back!!!

I caught a couple innings on tv when we were down early on.

What happened!??!? (I’m sure that has been asked 50 times already)

Freeman’s a beast, and some assorted other details, etc, etc. I’ll be off to my mom’s basement to check the DVR here in a bit.

We should have signed Adam Dunn.

Damn, did the whole team go on Jenny Craig?

(Just now watching the recording) Even the Rev looks thinner…

Maybe even Glavine lost the gut

That would be nuts. Almost like Tom Hanks’ weight loss in ‘Cast/Away’. He would look alot younger if he lost it.

You got to do something to get people in the park.

In these times of economic crisis, we need all the showmanship we can get.

I think attendance will be strong this season

There seems to be a great buzz among Braves fans right now, along with what seems like a collective, renewed interest in the Bravos. This is the year we take it all back.

And if Glavine shows up 20 lbs lighter with a full beard, that would be awesome.

Currently we project to have a 0.00 IPBBSP (Innings Pitched by Bearded Starting Pitchers)

This does not bode well.

According to his press conference photos Derek Lowe was only scruffy. Maybe after Spring Training he will lose the razor and give us the stats we need.

by Euruproktos on Feb 27, 2009 11:14 AM EST up reply actions

That’s an under utilized stat.

We should have signed Adam Dunn.

by Smoltz's Beard on Feb 27, 2009 12:21 PM EST up reply actions

So is FART (Fan Appreciation from pRior Team).

Last I checked, John Smoltz has a tepid .622 FART rating that reflects clearly on those who love and admire everything he did for he Braves, and those who now resent him for leaving and running his trap about criticizing the Braves.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

by royhobbs on Feb 27, 2009 12:34 PM EST up reply actions

I’m contributing to the decline of his FART….

by sddbaker on Feb 27, 2009 12:59 PM EST up reply actions

I think I help as FART as long as he keeps his trap shut. I hope Curt Schilling doesn’t show him how to blog.

Have you ever watched one old person show another how the internet works. Awful
