Good. Now hopefully everybody will get off his back and he can just play ball.

I’d love him to just play ball, but I don’t think he’s earned everyone to get off his back just yet.

And that’s what I can’t stand. The only way this guy is gonna get better is with support. Even if he puts up great numbers in ST, it’s just ST, he’s gotta do it in the season. So that’s a month and a half until the season starts, and even if he starts the season hot, nobody is gonna trust what he’s doing unless he’s able to do it for a few months.

So when is it going to be Ok to start supporting the guy again? June? July? Face it, this team is going to suck out loud if Frenchy sucks again; I think we’d all be better off if we went against our better judgment and had some blind faith for him. If he fails, so what? Most people are expecting it anyway. Let’s get behind the guy, for the sake of our favorite team, and hope he rebounds.

Do you really think professional atheletes succeed or fail on the moral support of bloggers?

I think a good number of them succeed on the support of their fanbase in general. I think Francoeur is one of these guys. And when I read TC I don’t think of the posters on here as “bloggers”, I think of them as real people who are baseball fans. Real people who are Braves fans. Intelligent and informed Braves fans who probably have a bit of an influence thought-wise over their less intelligent and informed friends who are Braves fans. Support has to start somewhere, why not with “bloggers”?

Well, it’s not like we go to games and yell FYF, though…well, at least I know I don’t. I can’t vouch for somebody like bigjoe.

On the off chance he’s reading, here’s my support:

Jeff, take a fucking pitch.

I was all for being optimistic until he starting crying like a little girl and blaming everything but himself for his struggles last season.

See, this is what gets me, he’s said about a hundred times he sucked last year. He’s fully admitted it.

I think his problem is he’s too open with the media. They ask a question and he gives and honest, unfiltered response. He needs to say no to some interview requests or just not answer some questions. He’s too open a book.

That certainly is good news as we will have no arb cases. Also they won’t be forced to totally rip Francoeur to pieces a few days before he sees live pitching again.

I wanted his ass to be roasted.

I have to admit some disappointment with the Braves regarding Frenchy

I know it is probably for the best in terms of team unity and professionalism, but I I was in charge of the arbitration hearing for the Braves, I would have stuck it to him. With his bad play, his bad attitude when he was sent down, and his own comments saying he gave up the last 30-40 games, I think I would have had a pretty good case. Even with his “playing time” argument, the Braves could have countered that by showing how a huge portion of our team was on the DL.
Last season he wasn’t half the player that KJ or McCann were.

McCann is making 125K more than Francoeur last year.

Nothing wrong with that at all.
