Hampton leaves Astros for treatment

Let the fun begin! Astros left-hander Mike Hampton is returning to Houston to get treatment for an irregular heartbeat. Hampton was to be examined Monday by team physician Dr. Jim Muntz and will undergo a procedure that corrects his heartbeat with an electrical current. The condition was discovered during an EKG test Saturday that was part of the routine physical for Astros pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training. The Astros say the irregularity was minor and they hope to have Hampton back in camp Thursday. For those that wanted Hampton to re-sign with te Braves, how do you say now? Way a go Frank!

I just think of all the heart aches he did to us and this almost makes up for it. lol. Seriously though, hope he does well. I’m over him and ready to move on. This was Frank’s best decision.

Beat me to it!

I was about to post this. No surprise that he is missing time. Although this is for something else all together.

before Lowe, KK, and Vazquez were here.. he was one of our better options… he didnt finsih the season half bad. although i should probably check his stats before i say that.

and remember you have to have a LHP in the rotation or else you’re statistically eliminated from contention on day one.

Heyward,Hanson, and Shaffer r ready now!! Why do you think they havent signed the "right handed bat"?

Poor Mike

Ya we had a horrible time with him as a Brave with all the injuries but come on, it wasn’t his fault. I wanna see him get it together. I wish him the best.

I wouldnt have minded him back at a low price or a STI….

Complete waste of money by the Astros, why would they want this guy simple he can I guess put people in the seats thinking he could win what was it 20 or 21 games again ?? If Hampton even survies spring training, big if he cannot hold up for a complete season, their is no way. He is to baseball what Dan Morgan was to the Panthers an overpaid player whom could never stay on the field. Sorry Mike so should have just walked away with whatever shred of dignity you had left. Too Bad Astro Fans, your problem now an really was your problem to begin with. LOL

We’ll start on punctuation after the next post. Introducing some dashes might make those stilted thoughts into communicable ideas—you know, like herpes.

Seriously, nobody uses whom.

To whom are you referring?

To whomever would actually phrase a sentence that way.

I use it all the time in writing. Depends on with whom I’m talking as to whether I use it in speech.

I’ll be honest, I go back and make sure I didn’t end any sentences with a preposition.

Then I get laid a lot.

hmmm?… what is this “laid” u speak of?

Stop ending sentences in prepositions and you’ll find out.

I feel for him

I really do but this guy needs to just retire, I don’t know the exact year but this guy hasn’t played a full season in forever.

At least this one wasn’t his arm. But he seems like a guy who probably relied on some kind of PED to stay healthy, and now that he can’t get away with taking it anymore, his body’s breaking down without it.

Well you have to figure that if Hampton has any heart, it beats irregularly. Probably related to the sore nipple that caused him to miss half of last season.

this always bothers me

why does hampton always get shat on? he obviously wants to play ball, and when his shitty body lets him he is usually way better than average. you want to blame somebody for hamptons hampering the braves, blame JS. hampton’s a nice guy with decent taste in beer. at the end of the day, we have to realize that this guy gave his all for a game that he gets well compensated by. hamptons body gave out on him, he never gave out on baseball or the braves.

It's a joke

Much like the Francoeur bashing. Once, someone decided to verbally condemn Hampton and his family because he decided to go back to Houston instead of re-sign with the Braves. And then naturally that user was systematically ripped to shreds by those who are people at the end of the day and realize that nobody wishes to see anyone, whether it be Mike Hampton, Jeff Francoeur, or even any player on the Phillies really truly get hurt.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
