He is so charming…

lol Jesus

Interesting mentality about having a larger guy like Flowers catching for him, making him think the plate felt bigger and closer. Hopefully the new and improved thin Heap doesn’t create an inverse effect on our pitchers.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Little psycological factors like that could really hurt Hanson, especially if he is rushed into the big show…

However, I have a feeling that he is probably going to completely dominate spring training…

We already have two #5s in Glavine and Campillo, we can afford to bring Hanson along slowly.

Who else would be in the Gwinnett rotation besides Hanson? Are Jo-Jo and Morton out of options? I’m guessing Medlen will close.

by TradeAndruw on Feb 13, 2009 2:34 PM EST up reply actions

I’d guess the Gwinnett rotation might be Hanson, Morton, Reyes, Todd Redmond, and Kris Medlen. That’d be pretty filthy.

Lerew is supposed to be back, i think…how effective? idk…but yeah, that rotation will be nasty…

by bwellnjonesco on Feb 13, 2009 3:35 PM EST up reply actions

Lerew is back. Judging from how he looked at the end of the year with Richmond, he’ll be 100% in the spring. But, he is out of options, so for him to end up in Gwinnett he’d have to clear waivers, and I don’t see that happening.

If that’s the case, I can easily see myself making the trek up to Gwinnett every time the Braves are on the road, or Hanson is starting.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Word. I’m glad they come to Norfolk three times. In three four game series I should get so see some pretty good pitching (particularly with Chris Tillman, Brad Bergesen, David Hernandez, Chorye Spoone, and maybe Jake Arrieta likely for Norfolk’s rotation). Not to mention I’m planning on heading down to GA at some point.

Tillman is pretty dirty. That Bedard trade might go down as one of the worst in history.

Shut yer mouth..

…that’s a trade I’m still pissed off about. And Tillman is a friggin stud, and now the M’s have a guy that will never pitch 200 innings and most likely try and pull himself out of games before he hits 100 pitches..ugh..

by RainDelay on Feb 14, 2009 10:36 PM EST up reply actions

doesnt Bedard have some philosophy abuot not taking care of his shuolder or somehting… because he thinks its unncessary

Heyward,Hanson, and Shaffer r ready now!! Why do you think they havent signed the "right handed bat"?

Yup..

..and he keeps track of his pitches and will take himself out of games if he gets up to 100.

by RainDelay on Feb 15, 2009 1:33 PM EST up reply actions

I think I got to see all them at some point. Tillman was the most impressive, but Mickolio is really, really good as a reliever. I like Jones, and obviously Sherrill is good, and Tony Butler just looks like he’s gonna be good.

But hey, again, at least there’s Josh Fields…

(I will say, I saw the M’s AA team a few times last year, and I really like Adam Moore and Michael Saunders.)

I also saw Saunders this year with Team USA. Hoss.

Total a-hole though.

Fields...

Still on the fence, I just don’t agree with spending a 1st round pick on a reliever…it was a mistake that the new GM could’ve corrected. But instead they go ahead and sign him..

by RainDelay on Feb 15, 2009 1:35 PM EST up reply actions

Nevermind being a reliever, I’m completely questioning that guy’s desire to play until he proves otherwise. Sitting out a year for what was, in the long run, peanuts doesn’t say a lot of positive things about his personality.

Yeah, maybe, but I also heavily question guys who even get Boras as their agent in the first place.

Can’t wait to see them in the LEHIGH VALLEY against the Iron Pigs. No idea when the games are, or if any of them will conflict with my school schedule (but they most likely will)

Gwinnett team

It looks like this years AAA team will shape up to be pretty dang good what with a lot of Mississippi’s Championship team coming up. Maybe they could do like the Rome squad did their inaugural year in northwest Georgia and bring home a championship.
