Term Sheet Fiasco....Installment 2.0?????
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/78794647.html
So, this link above concerns the Brewers pursuit of Randy Wolf. Evidently, Wolf's agent is currently shopping around the 3 year, 31 million dollar offer that the brewers have given to wolf. Obvioulsy, this is probably a who gives a shit story to most, but it does raise some eyebrows and bring back some bad memories in know that Wolf's agent is Arn tellem.
Now, do not know if a term sheet is involved, but would not be surprised. As some now, Arn Tellem is Paul Kizner's superior/boss. Paul Kizner is the asshole of an agent for Raffy Furcal. Last year, when we sent a term sheet to Kizner (term sheet-basically the handshake agreement a deal is done between a team and a player), he then sent that to the dodgers, as they swept in at the last moment and signed furcal to a more lucritve deal. A term sheet, I guess in unwritten baseball code, is something that should not be shopped around. The braves were very perturbed to say the least, and vowed never to work with another player represent by Tellem's and Kizner's agency. Well, it appears af if they are at it again. I guess some people never learn. I know that not signing Furcal was a blessing in desguise, but the manner in which these people conduct their business obviously has become a devious practice for them, and I hope other teams call them out for their actions.

This is probably standard practice in free-agent wheeling and dealing...
… the problem is, this supposedly happened to us AFTER a deal had been agreed upon, not just a proposal.
Oh, Bobby.
I don't know about that.
From everything I read last year, it is not a standard practice. If it is true again in this case, it appears to be Tellem’s standard practice.
Awesome post. I’d like to hear more about this guy…
