No groundbreaking new info there,
But worth the two or three minutes of Karl Ravech talking to the “GM of the uhh… Braves.”

If they want to throw him $18 mil over the next three years, that's fine with me.

yeah, it’s too much for PP, but he’s a stud. one of the most solid middle infielders over the past 5 years or so.
"Are you tryin to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?"
Yes, but his bat at 3B...
…isn’t that special. Then again, neither was Feliz.
Yup, I saw it. It does feel good seeing the Braves on TV again.
Yes, Frank spoke about re-tooling the bullpen and how Wagner was
On there FA list from the start. Now that the bullpen is solidify for now.
he mentioned he’s going to acquire a bat via FA or trade.
He did mentioned Heyward but sounded as if he is not counting
on him very much and why should he.
I say trade Lowe and get Jason Bay

Just like that? Is it anything like picking up chicks? (Dane Cook reference…)
"My team of nine guys who hit like Albert Pujols and never ever bunt just beat your team with one Shane Victorino 472 to 3."

Way to Michael Scott that…
I wrote a novel, it's about baseball, you should buy it: https://www.createspace.com/3407939

I'll say this:
He did do a little to make me feel better about Wagner’s and Saito’s health. I’m sure it’s just spin, but hey… we need anything we can get.
I've got a bit of man-crush on Franky
And I’m sure I’m not alone here.
That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic about this upcoming season for the Bravos. More optimistic than cautious, but aware of the injury risks with our two recent signings and the potential to be let down this year again… that’s why I love the offseason…so much hope.
I believe the reason why management doesn’t say much about Heyward is because they don’t want to put undo pressure on the guy. Well, there will be some undo pressure as we get closer to spring but I don’t think they want to make him out to be another Jeff Francoeur. No comparison obviously as far as ability or mental make up but there is no sense in hyping the guy when he hasn’t done anything yet.
If Heyward makes the club out of spring training fine, if he doesn’t then that’s fine too. Whatever he does isn’t going to be affected by whatever anyone says now. Let’s talk about him after we get through spring training… ;-)

Oh, and I think Wren is a smart, calculated guy. He may be a bit cold but that’s the reality of baseball and he is playing it very well.
Keeping things under wraps this off season is a good move in itself.
Heck, I don’t want to get all the hearsay from the club anyway. Just tell me when we’ve signed someone good. I don’t want to go on the rollercoaster ride with him! (Like last year) I think reporting this stuff does more harm than good. It’s different coming from the media because you can always say that it’s crap ;-)
