This offseason is already going much more smoothly than last. I look forward to seeing what hitter(s) Wren brings in.
Mike Cameron!

The way I see it:
He’ll only get a 1 or 2 year deal, which won’t block anyone.
He still plays great defense and allows McLouth to play LF. An OF of McLouth-Cameron-Heyward would be dick nasty.
He still has some pop in his bat.
He’ll likely sign for a bit of a home-town discount since he lives an hour or so from Atlanta.
He’d be a perfect mentor for Jason Heyward.
He’s also supposed to be a great guy in the clubhouse. I kinda sorta met him at a fundraiser in St. Louis a few years back and seemed like a very good guy.

Not personal mvhs...
but…
“He’ll likely sign for a bit of a home-town discount since he lives an hour or so from Atlanta”
Why is everyone supposedly gonna take a home town discount to play for the Braves? LaRoche, Tex, Cameron, etc. And it’s not like a boatload of athletes don’t make their homes in the Atlanta area.
Maybe cause Cameron has made it known that he’s wanted to play in Atlanta? You’re right, there’s nothing saying he’ll accept a home-town discount, but I would think a 37 year old with 3 young kids would like to be able to drive home every night. Just a guess tho

I'm sure he would to...
doesn’t mean he’ll sacrifice money to do it though. Maybe that’s important to him and he will, but without him saying it (and usually even when they do), I’ll believe like most players he’s up for the highest bidder.
Let’s hope now Santa will reward me with a Derek Lowe trade and a Vazquez extension… I’ve been super good this year!

that
I think all the humidity got to Lowe. I really do believe he would pitch better elsewhere.

I think he'd pitch better here next year...
but he’s still $45 over the next 3 years, with other, cheaper options just as good on the roster.
