Great Article on Heyward
Someone may have posted this before, but if you haven't read it yet, it'll make you smile. I can't wait for him to come up to the Majors.

Definitely worth the read
But yes, the FYF comparisons, or repeated vocal aversions to comparisons, wear thin after a bit.

Also feel like the "He's an African American and he plays baseball!"
Is really played out.
The two biggest stars in baseball are Hispancs-the game is not racist.
And there's that CC guy people tend to be fond of.
Overheard in press box, from local reporter: 'If this Moore kid was any good, they'd be up 31-0 right now.'

No Pujols?
Or would that have been a sacrilegious comparison?

Pujols only had 1 season in the minors. Also, I think all of those guys were about Heyward’s age, 19, in their second years; Pujols would have been 21, so it wouldn’t be a fair comparison.

Pujols was never a top prospect.
When I first found that out, it changed my life forever. Maybe it will do the same for you.
That’s not exactly true. He was drafted low, 13th round in 99, didn’t play until 2000 and then after the year was rated as the Cardinals #2 prospect by BA (behind Bud Smith of all people) and in BA’s top 40 prospects. So yes, he wasn’t a top prospect when he was first drafted but as soon as he started playing he shot right up there.
