He's not the outfielder I wanted, so I'm glad he's going elsewhere.

two year deal...

that’s not what we’re needing.

Wow, that sucks.

But if the Red Sox wanted him, we wouldn’t be able to afford him. Seems such a waste—-they want to improve their defense, but putting a CF with good range in the smallest OF position in the majors seems to be overkill.

Not necessarily

Only getting 15.5 over two years. FW might have quibbled over that second year, tipping it in Boston’s favor anyway, but that is right in line with the 7-9M folks have been quesstimating he’d get/we could afford. The years, not the money, would have done us in.

I, like Rhyno18, did not want Cameron and am happy he signed elsewhere.

Who do you want?

For his combination of right-handed power and defense, he made the most sense to me by a mile. Who would you want in the outfield instead?

Crap.

Apparently, only 15.5 for two years, I’d do that in a heartbeat. Why do the haters not want Cameron? Gondee did a whole post and none of the haters in there had a good reason that wasn’t silly.
