Diaz, Braves avoid arbitration; signs one year deal
MattyD avoided arbitration today, signing for $2.55MM, a 106% raise going into his 3rd arbitration eligable season.
Gotta love Matt. And $2.55MM doesn't seem like very much money to have one the best hitters against lefties in Major League Baseball on your roster.
I really wish the Braves would find another CF, so we could create a platoon in LF of McLouth and Diaz. That would be a beastly duo.

Platoon?
Platoon McLouth he is a everyday player and our leadoff hitter. I guess Diaz is going to hit lead off when Nate is riding the pine. If you want to win a championship Diaz is a 4th outfielder pinch hitter at best.
