This Week's Schedule at Talking Chop: November 9-15

The major league starting pitchers are now behind us, and this week we'll focus on the minor league starting pitchers. We will be reviewing 20 different minor league starting pitching prospects for the Braves -- possibly the richest and deepest part of the Atlanta system.

Programming Note:  I decided to cut the Tim Hudson season in review last week since there really wasn't too much of a season to review, and I didn't want to get into deconstructing a handful of games that we probably couldn't glean that much info from anyway. So on to the minor leaguers...

Here's the slate for this week, which will also include this year's SBN Awards:

Monday:  Braves Top-10 minor league minor league right-handed starters 6-10; SBN Awards: Manager of the Year
Tuesday:  Braves Top-10 minor league minor league right-handed starters 1-5; SBN Awards: Rookie of the Year
Wednesday: Minor league right-handed starting pitchers round table post; SBN Awards: Cy Young
Thursday:  Top-10 minor league minor league left-handed starters 6-10; SBN Awards: MVP
Friday:  Top-10 minor league minor league left-handed starters 1-5
Saturday:  Minor league left-handed starting pitchers round table post
Sunday:  Weekly Wrap

Be sure to check back every day for new material.

Who is that in the photo?

Here are Pujols's stats: 1.000/1.000/4.000/5.000. That's right. He is batting a thousand, with a thousand OBP (naturally), and every hit has been a home run, and thus his OPS is a perfect 5.000.

Does he even count among ...

“minor leaguers” anymore?

Smoltz isn't similar to Eckerlsey. He's better. Much better.

I know it's "only spring training," but is it time to be concerned about McLouth?
