Anyone think we should've made a deal to get him?

No. On a related not, Jesse Chavez is insanely small in real life.

Not really
Isn’t there already enough debate at the happenings at second base?
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

My thinking was if we got Aki then that would solve them. Drop/non-tender/whatever KJ and use Prado off the bench.

We would have had to pay him $4.85 million which isn’t a good idea when we need to be putting all of our remaining resources into OF, 1B, and RP. If we could have picked him up for a much smaller salary then it might have made a little more sense.

Not only is he expensive, but he’s 5 years older and hasn’t had a season in the US that’s been even close to as good as Prado’s this year. GoBravesNY, I have no idea why you think he would start ahead of Prado.

The whole reasoning would’ve been based on the year he had 2 years ago when the rays made it to the WS. But now that I look at the stats he wasn’t even that great. That was half. The other half is because there is a group here that don’t think Prado should start and can’t put up those numbers for a full year (even though he basically did that).
Doesn’t even matter though. I like Prado. Prado’s our starter. Prado’s good. Aki is in Pittsburgh and were here.

Word. Personally, I thought Aki had been better too.

Are they planning on playing him at 3rd...
over little LaRoche, or 2B? I’m guessing 2nd, which wouldn’t help the idea of a Capps for KJ trade.

I’m assuming they’ll flip him to another team. This makes no sense for Pittsburgh.
Here are Pujols's stats: 1.000/1.000/4.000/5.000. That's right. He is batting a thousand, with a thousand OBP (naturally), and every hit has been a home run, and thus his OPS is a perfect 5.000.
