Wren: We're not interested in Aroldis Chapman
I'd never heard of Melissa Segura from SI.com (who broke the story earlier today), and it's not that surprising that this rumor was debunked by FW. Honestly, Chapman would be nice to have, but we don't have a need for him. I'd much rather spend the money on a closer, 1B or OF.

Aww, I hate it when reality gets in the way of speculation.

or simply economics...
give the Braves an unlimited budget and I’m sure they’d be after Chapman. But we have plenty of young Ps—Teheran, Delgado, Delgado, Oberholtzer, Masters, Crim, Otero, Spruill, Devall, Minor, among others to go with two current fixtures in Jurrjens and Hanson. We just don’t have that huge of a need for a young starter, with a limited budget and other more signficant needs.
Plus, Chapman doesn’t really fit the mold of Braves lefty. We get control guys with great changeups, not fireballers who can’t locate. And then there is the current headache of Escobar’s “antics”, and we’d invite similar behavior (not saying there is anything wrong with it) in Chapman?
