Sharpen stick, proceed to poke...
He's gonna be a good one....
"Elvis had a special, special season in 2009. I mean, we as Rangers fans, I think, getting to watch him every day, I think have a good sense for how good he is, particularly with the glove...but until I went and looked at the data, I didn't realize how exceptional it was for a middle infielder to be a major league regular this young, and hit as well as he did."

In other news, on days when the temperature is between 65 and 73 degrees, when the sun rises at 6:32 am, and Tom Glavine had salmon to eat the night before, the Braves a 13-0.
"My team of nine guys who hit like Albert Pujols and never ever bunt just beat your team with one Shane Victorino 472 to 3."

You can't deny, for a 20 year old in the majors...
supposedly with a weak stick, those are some solid #s.

yeah, but I really hate it when people put like 5 conditionals on something just to make a point.

Just simple, age, level playing at, production...
kid is producing at a level few have ever been on at his age. Simple as that to me, and most of those at this level at his age had great careers.

and
he still wouldn’t make it into our infield for another couple of years. Still not a big loss.

Yunel got votes for MVP. How many did Elvis get. 0- thats right. I don’t mind that we lost him
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)

See below...
it’s not like an NFL QB, you can move baseball players around. Did Alexei Ramirez keep Gordon Beckham from producing for the White Sox? In baseball, talented players find a way onto the field.

DISAGREE...
in the least he’d have been at SS instead of Diory Hernandez, and at worst we probably try and fit some combo of him and Yunel at 2B/SS until Chipper retired (unless he was willing to try 1B which he has said he wouldn’t). Hell, with Yunel’s arm, he could probably be a pretty good corner OF if you are looking for a way to get your best 8 in the field.
