Looking forward to seeing him in the Bigs

What do you think his path though the minors will look like? Finish in AA this year and then finish in AAA next year with a shot at Kawakami’s vacated spot in ‘12? Unless Vaz gets dealt or doesn’t get an extention it doesn’t seem like we will have an open spot until ’12. Of course there could be some injuries and ineffectiveness thrown in there but would less than two full years in the minors be rushing Minor?

I think you called it right, barring some major injury or trade, there doesn’t look to be a spot in the rotation until 2012. Which is fine because yeah, I see High A/AA this year then AAA in 2011 for him, with him making his ML debut sometime late 2011.

I wouldn’t rule out a bullpen stint at the start of 2011, depending on his effectiveness next year. I know he’s not ideally suited for the pen, but I think he could be effective there and it would get him ML exposure, not unlike what Price did.
