Adrian Gonzalez
It would take a lot to get him, but I'd be willing to make the calculated risk necessary to bring him to Atlanta.

Freddie Freeman
Julio Teheran
Cody Johnson
Randal Delgado
Brandon Hicks
The Padres get a 1B of the future, a potential #2 starter, an OF with limitless power, a young pitcher who could turn into a solid starter after a few years in the minors and a serviceable SS who plays great defense.
Who hangs up first?

Teheran can definitely be a #1
But i wouldnt give up ALL of those guys for AGon. Maybe:
Freeman
Delgado
Johnson
and Schafer?
hohohhohohoh its the offseason, time to rosterbate in public places
whoops
yeah, i meant to put future #1 next to Teheran. You never know with those young 19 year olds tho..
And I think the Padres might want a little more than that for AGon. Gonzalez is arguably the 2nd best 1B in the league. He has absolutely no protection in the lineup, but still puts up incredible numbers in a huge ballpark, all while playing gold glove-caliber defense.

That looks like Mark Tiexiera Part Deux….I am not sure I want to give up that much, regardless of the return.

I was big on acquiring...
Adrian Gonzo during the season. That was before we got LaRoche. Now before the remarks start to fly, I am NOT saying Adam is as good or as cheap a contract as Gonzalez, but gutting our already depleted farm system for the difference in stats is not warranted at this point. BTW, Gonzo is a pretty streaky hitter as well.
Streaky?
Even in his worst month out of the year he’s still posting a .826OPS. If that’s a slump for him then I’ll gladly take it.
Gonzo is a pretty streaky home run hitter as well.
He’s always a fantastic hitter. But yes, his homers seem to come in bunches. That’s not to say his XBH come in bunches as well. Had the dude on my fantasy team and he seemed to be very consistent all year long.

I too....
have had Gonzalez on my fantasy team. Oddly the last 2 years, Adrian went through major slumps from about the third week of June through the end of July. His BA fell roughly 40-50 points both seasons. In 2007, he started off hot in April and then went through a stretch where his BA fell from 300 to the 230s. Based on that, I would say he was streaky.
