DOB has an interesting writeup in today's AJC, with individual commentary of each of our youngsters in the AZ Fall League.

Worth a read.

Minor, who’ll be 22 on Dec. 26, has good command of a 92-93 mph fastball and a change-up that Baseball America last week rated the fifth-best secondary pitch (non-fastball) for anyone in the 2009 draft.

hohohhohohoh its the offseason, time to rosterbate in public places

It’s hard for a major media outlet like the AJC or MLB.com to appeal to prospect huggers. We can get much more detailed information from places like Baseball America and the general readership really doesn’t care enough to warrant putting a ton of effort into a prospect piece unless it’s a Jason Heyward type piece.

that’s a bummer. you would think a big newspaper like the AJC would pay to fly DOB or Caroll Rogers out to AZ to catch a few of the games.

They’re on financial crackdown just like everyone else. Newspapers are struggling pretty bad these days. One good thing, it did lead to the departure of Terence Moore.

So I guess from that article we can assume...

the Braves aren’t sending out a roster replacement for Heyward.

Hopefully he means last-year Cole Hamels and not this year
