If it were the Wagner from ten years ago, it’d be awesome. But 39 and coming off of TJ surgery….questionable at best.

He’ll be 39 in July.

Yeah, youre right
the main reason that i think it is a bad idea to sign him is that he is a type-a FA…

Isn't our pick protected, though?
Remember when the Panthers had a good offensive line? Yeah, me too.

John Rocker 2.0?
"My team of nine guys who hit like Albert Pujols and never ever bunt just beat your team with one Shane Victorino 472 to 3."

What has Wagner said that’s even close to what Rocker said?

Nothing…I just think that Wagner may be just as much of a hot-head.

Well
There was the one time he made insinuations about the Mets being too Los Mets, when after he blew a save, told the reporters to go speak to the Latin players, because, some of them can, speak English.
Other than that, he’s really quite a low-demeanor low-key guy.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Ok, I remember that. I was with him though, because I knew the guys he was talking about and they all speak very good English. To me that was calling some guys out for not taking responsibility. Probably not the kind of thing that’s going to be an issue somewhere other than NY.

I'm starting to think...
Wren will go into spring training with Wagner, Moylan, and maybe a trade acquisition like Matt Capps, Joel Hanrahan, or another and see if we can find a closer from a pack of options.

Dangerous.
Relievers are weird; they really want to know their roles as soon as possible.

Aren’t we little LH-heavy if we keep Gonzo (which we should)? Then again, there are a lot of dangerous LH hitters in the NL East.
Here are Pujols's stats: 1.000/1.000/4.000/5.000. That's right. He is batting a thousand, with a thousand OBP (naturally), and every hit has been a home run, and thus his OPS is a perfect 5.000.

Wrong...
There is only one and his name is Mr. Howard. (shivers at the mention of the name)

The original article, the one linked to in the linked article just says, basically, “Don’t be surprised if the Braves go after Wagner.” It isn’t framed as insider info or anything, it just seems like the writer speculating.

Ha.
So we’re going to the Macon Telegram for scoops now? Also, the article suggests that the team may go after him, not that they will.
