Anyone else getting the Phillies-Marlins game?

I’d just like to point out, for fellow jazz fans, that Ian Desmond’s walk up song was “Take Five” by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. The saxophonist who played that memorable riff in 1959 was Paul Desmond. Whatever we’re paying the organist, double it.

The fact that one of the FOX commentators sounds vaguely like Harry Shearer is distracting me to no end.
But I do enjoy the faux-dramatic cuts to various players sitting in the dugout. Is Diaz the father of Tina’s baby…or is it LaRoche? And will Brian snap out of his amnesia in time for Chipper’s bar mitzvah?

I’d like to see that one, too. I like the Royals, but I hope the Twins get AL Central over the Tigers. Mostly so the nation can continue to marvel at Joe Mauer’s sideburns well into October.

ERAs of the Natinals pitchers we've faced so far:
Thursday: 5.62 / 2.78 / 4.39
Friday: 5.44 / 6.23 / 4.57 / 4.70 / 4.31
Today: 5.00 / 6.62 / 4.40 / 4.53
Our offense SHOULD have gotten a win facing these ERAs.

At this point I fear we’re going to end the year with 6 losses in a row at home.
4 to the Nationals – being swept.
NOTHING can make me feel better about that.
