Yeah, it’s kind of like watching and hoping that both teams lose… can that happen?
The more I think about it though, I’m kind of rooting for the Phillies — let’s keep the title in the NL East.
I dont get that idea.
Keeping the title in the NL east. I hate the Phillies, and the Mets too, I just dont want them to win, ever. So what if the champ is in the NL East? We didnt win it, and a team I hate did…
hohohhohohoh its the offseason, time to rosterbate in public places
Neither,
And both at the same time. I just really wanted to make a reference to 8675309

Any baseball fans in here? :)
People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again.
Guess not… :(

Did you see that call?? What horrible umpiring during the playoffs!

can we all agree on instant replay now? that was a load of crap. from the side angle you could see the ball bounce, and from either angle you could see dirt fly out. its not going to ruin baseball. just get instant replay
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)
by the way. i love how even when the yankees are scoring those runs and on a roll, fox still mentions how good PHI is in the playoffs over the past 2 years
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)
I f-ing hate the Phillies. Do you live in NYC?

technically, no. I live in Jersey. But I spend 6 hours in Jersey asleep and the other 18 in the city, so i look at it as i live in NYC but sleep in Jersey
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)
Gotya, I was in NYC this summer. Baseball road trip, it was an interesting and very intense city.

i know i can’t look at this objectively, but i really do believe its the best city in the world.
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)
I can see that. What do you do in the city?

i’m still a student, so yeah. so even i only get the tip of the iceberg

Oh, ok, very cool. I had a good time while I was there. A LOT of walking! I saw Citi Field and Yankee Stadium!

fixed. but really. you’re fitting right in. it is a lot of walking. i spend over half my day when im not in school walking around. even so its a lot of fun. although you are able to pick out tourists from residents because tourists have that touristy look of awe and residents just have their head down and go to where they need to be.
you’re coming from igloo territory, right?
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)
You know, hopefully you don’t take offense, but honestly I liked Citi Field more than I liked Yankee Stadium. To me Yankee Stadium was monsterous and impersonal. But, perhaps I am jaded by the 6 hour rain delay that I had to go through!! LOL. They ran out of food before the game started!!
It is interesting, I must have looked like I fit in because I had at least 10 people ask me to help them out with directions. I’m like come on people it isn’t really that hard!
you’re coming from igloo territory, right?
LOL, despite what royhobbs and cbwilk will have you believe, I do not currently live in an igloo. I did grow up in Alaska; however, I moved in 2000 and I now reside in California.

aha. that makes sense. I haven’t been to the new yankee, but it seems nice. the fact that the old Yankee is still up is mockery because it is so much nicer. Went to citi and i hated it.
haha.. what are we going to do with royhobbs and cbwilik
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)
Dont get me wrong, it is nice, just massive.

But on the day I went, I got there at noon for a 120 PM game. It didn’t start until 7 PM!

oh that day! wow. that mustve been hell! I still think that the Yankees are teasing us because the old Yankee is so much more majestic than the new one and is just there. it bothers me.
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)
Yeah, during the Nationals series.
Well, they aren’t gonna blow it up are they? I heard it is gonna be a museum or something.

i actually have no idea. i heard it was going to be a little league park and also heard it was going to be torn down. now it just haunts me
(Yunel is still the Queen of Hearts)
Jeez, that would be a big ass little league park!
You know where is an interesting place? Queens! I stayed on Queens Blvd, right by the purple line train, wow!

queens is pretty. and kick ass because if you’re from queens you’re proud of it. (also happens to have the crime part of the five boroughs but who cares .) the part you went to is very nice

Yeah, it was a little unnerving that the hotel had bullet proof glass where the front desk folks sat.

how bad have the playoffs been. especially that play. I may be a yankee follower/fan-esque during the playoffs but that was crap.

I was in Philly this summer, I asked the guy sitting next to me (a Philly fan) why he liked Ryan Howard. He looked at me like I killed his mom.
