The Source of Baseballs Magic Mud
Pretty interesting story about the origin of the rubbing mud required to be used on every baseball before it is put into play.
Theres a quote from Tim Hudson included, as well as a braves assistant coach.

New Jersey??
Well, go figure, I suppose. If any place in the world is going to be famous for its mud, I guess New Jersey fits the bill, quite well.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
HEY!
I technically live in Jersey, even though I spend almost all of my day in NYC. But, New Jersey sucks so much that with all the bridges that Paterson burned, all we have to do is flood the tunnels and then we can be kept out of it.

Dude, seriously. I went to New Jersey this weekend for the first time and it’s every bit as ridiculous as I’ve always though. Even made a video on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2c1bIlwEdM

Wow
I’m just trying to decipher what it is on your plate. It looks like . . . a Chex-Mix slice of pizza.

“But yeah, uh, Jersey still blows”. I so lol’d.
You should’ve gone to Maumee, Ohio. My un-homely sister lives there – she got all the good genes in the family…5’10", blonde, nice twins (hey, I’m just quoting her). She’s got a different mom, too, so no present face.
Did you lose weight or just hair? Your face & shoulders look thinner.
I think that is so cool....
Especially this:
“It’s the history and the tradition,” said Bintliff, who plans to one day hand the business down to his daughter, Rachel. "It’s something I’ve been doing since I was a kid and I wouldn’t give it up for anything.
“From 1938, on all those record home runs and those thousands of strikeouts, my mud’s been on every ball.”
I know this may sound crazy to some people, but I’m jealous.

The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone."
