Oh waaah.
They kind of asked for it with their comments at the tail end of the Yanks-Angels series, saying they wanted the Yankees because they wanted to prove they were actually better than the odds-on favorites. You start the trash talking, you have no right to complain when the other team, or their fans/media, fire back.
Besides, Shane is a dick.

I don’t know, this kind of bothers me. I’ve met Shane a few times and he really is a great guy. I know we don’t like him cause he plays against us, but admit it, if he was a Braves we’d love the heck out of this guy. Photoshopping a picture of him wearing a cheerleading skirt and putting in on the cover of a major newspaper is classless. How do you expect him to respond?

You’re probably right, we’d probably love him if he was a Brave. BUT, this is the Post. I can’t really explain why this makes Shane look like such a dick but because its the Post it does. YOu really shouldn’t have that kind of reaction to the Post. The Post’s headlines are supposed to be taken with a grain of salt.

I know what you're saying...
but, the fact remains, he’s not a Brave. Also, I wouldn’t call the Post a “major newspaper”; more like “very popular tabloid”. Shane should take it as a compliment — it’s sort of like having you picture on the cover of the Weekly World News with Bat Boy or an alien.

See, and maybe that’s the reason for the reaction. I’ve never been to New York and i don’t really care much about it, so I had no idea that it’s not a real paper but a tabloid. I’d might get pissed about it too. (Probably not, since I have an odd sense of humor, hell, I’d probably sign a copy for that camera man, but still.)
