OMG

You MUST click the link that shows pictures of the chick. That alone is worth another fanshot of how much more stupider Steve Phillips really is.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Yeah, good to see what kind of tail you can pull down as a failed GM…yeesh.

Harold Reynolds may be able to play the race card if Steve isn’t kicked out on his can. But hopefully Steve won’t move his stink to mlb network.

If memory serves...

Harold left because he was ticked at some sexual harassment targeted AT him, not fired for perpetrating some.

by J-Freak on Oct 22, 2009 3:25 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well, I fact-checked myself, and the whole thing is a bit muddled and no one seems to really have a clear picture of Harold’s situation. The term fired was never used, but it was said “three people are no longer with us(ESPN)”, and he claims it was a misunderstanding, almost as if he thought that excuse would 1,583,237,405,294th it was ever used…

Who knows. If he screwed up, good riddance. If he didn’t, oh well, $#!+ happens.

http://deadspin.com/211364/harold-reynolds-should-have-gone-to-outback-steakhouse

he also sued espn but i dont know what came of it…i do know, however, that mike tirico has been accused of harassment a BUNCH of times with virtually no punishment.

And I dont think it’s necessarily fair to fire Phillips. Aside from causing a scene for ESPN, he did nothing “wrong” — the woman he had an affair with was a willing participant. The rest is between Steve and his wife, imo.

It depends on your definition of wrong...

I suppose.

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." I thought it all depended on the meaning of the word “is”…

by J-Freak on Oct 22, 2009 6:19 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

thats why i put wrong in ""

ofc it was morally wrong but is it your employer’s responsibility to police morality? I dont think so, personally. If he didnt break a law or damage ESPN, then it’s not ESPN’s business.

I would hope that if I got into a relationship with a willing coworker, I wouldnt get suspended for it.

I don't think....

it’s helping ESPN any, that’s for sure.

thats true

but ESPN’s reputation in matters like this is already as low as it can go…Phillips didnt really make it worse

The only thing I want to know is...

If the fugly chick stalked the family so extensively and might even have used ESPN computers to contact Steve’s 16 year old son (Link, courtesy of someone at amazinavenue: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/espn_suspends_steve_phillips_after_BqI2i7uj46oLDZSWhxsGvK ), WHY THE HELL HASN’T ESPN SUSPENDED HER? Steve is still a dirtbag, but why does he get suspended and she doesn’t? WTF?

i thought she wasnt working there anymore?

Link?

All I’ve heard is she’s an ESPN production assistant, he’s an ESPN baseball shithead analyst, they rutted like rabid bunnies for a while, and now he’s been suspended a week. Haven’t heard any updates on her status.

hmm

thought i had ended that last post with “I thought I read that somewhere but cant quite remember”

now I cant find it again, so it’s completely possible I made it up in my head.

If Chris Berman can swear like a sailor at his co-workers, Phillips ought to be able to screw the a pooch.

google rosa rodriguez as well -- the mistress from his days as GM

In a related article, Steve’s Penis had this to say: “No idea he was famous. I’ve always been content with whatever I was getting because I just thought he was retarded. Seriously, you guys watch him talk about stuff on television?”
