Go Braves!

Let’s go out with a bang, by winning out!

Hey guys…I won’t really be in here again tonight…I will be going out with the little lady again. Go BRaves!!!

"My team of nine guys who hit like Albert Pujols and never ever bunt just beat your team with one Shane Victorino 472 to 3."

I agree, not only is he a Great back up catcher, but Mac deserves a break.

I would love to see Ross back on the team next year, unless he gets a full time gig, which I personally think he is very capable of handling.

We can get to 89 wins if we win out

That’s +17 games over last year

I think perhaps just not a leadoff guy.
He’s got speed, so maybe an occasional bunt for a hit?

by NCChopper on Oct 2, 2009 7:47 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i hope schafer gets well, does well and we can move nate down in the order…..260 is not a good BA for a leadoff man

So I guess on Sunday afternoon, he’ll be Livan on a jet plane.

im feeling that his poor performance this year had a lot to do with that injury he got

by Slee on Oct 2, 2009 7:50 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’m thinking that’s backwards. He hurt his wrist in the Philly serious, and wrist injuries for a baseball player are a death wish

Defensively yes, Offensively yes, if Jordan’s wrist is healed and he can add more to the team, than he did after his injury.

Boog's last game is Sunday : (

Jon Sciambi’s three-year run as a Braves broadcaster will conclude on Sunday afternoon, when he calls his last game for Fox Sports South.

Sciambi, who is widely known as Boog, has accepted the opportunity for an enhanced role with ESPN. Over the course of the past five years, the veteran broadcaster has called Major League Baseball and college basketball games for the cable network.

Along with continuing to do some television work, Sciambi will now be the lead play-by-play announcer for Major League games carried on ESPN Radio.

“We have truly enjoyed Jon being our Braves’ play-by-play broadcaster during the past three seasons,” Fox Sports South senior vice president and general manager Jeff Genthner said. “As a broadcast team, Boog and Joe (Simpson) were embraced by the fans. We wish him continued success in his new career, and we look forward to beginning the process of finding our next Braves’ play-by-play broadcaster after the season ends.”

There has been no indication about who may replace Sciambi in the Fox broadcast booth next year.

My first season as a baseball fan, and he up and leaves. I’m really going to miss him. It’s going to be hard to match his humor and upbeat persona in the booth.
