Bischer retiring from AJC
As much fun as we've had with his Braves articles over the past few seasons, I had no idea the man had this genuinely prolific a career. Had the only post-banishment interview with Joe Jackson? Amazing. Great read.

I lol'd
At the part about the Old Royal Typewriter he used all these decades. Color me the least bit surprised.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
It is sad that Bisher’s skills died a long time ago…he went from great sportswriter to rambling old man. He should have settled on that property with his wife about 15-20 years ago.
He has written nothing accurate or relevant in quite some time now (at least, concerning the Braves).
Heck, he can’t decide if our farm system is dried up or if our bright young stars are what is keeping Bobby around.

his articles have always sucked.
hohohhohohoh its the offseason, time to rosterbate in public places
I first started reading Bisher in The Sporting News 40 years ago, and I didn’t think he sucked then. Maybe he did, and I was just too young to figure it out. I haven’t really read him in years, and I just figured that he’d slipped into the sort of irrelevancy Bob Broeg experienced for the last several years of his career. But jeez, Bisher is the last standing contemporary of Red Smith, Jim Murray, Joe Falls and all the other great daily newspaper sports columnists of the postwar era. He’s at least deserving of some respect.

I can't help but hope that I'll have a mainstream vessel for my own ramblings well into my 90's.
